Dear Carolina Rise Members,
First, we would like to personally thank all of you that made Carolina Rise a success as an NIL collective. We took a grassroots approach to this and did a lot of great work. We were overwhelmed by the response that we got when we launched in June of 2022 and there are too many individuals to thank in this space.
We all want what is best for the Gamecocks and joining forces with Garnet Trust is absolutely the right move for the University of South Carolina and its Name, Image and Likeness efforts in this ever-changing world of college athletics. JC is thrilled to be staying on to work with their team. We have gotten to know Jeremy Smith and Mark Bonnoitt quite well during the past six months. They are both Gamecocks and have the best intentions when it comes to creating a championship-level situation with NIL at South Carolina. That shared vision makes us excited about the future overall and JC is ready to get back to work in the NIL space from a forward-facing standpoint as the behind the scenes work to get this done has been cumbersome in the last 90 days or so.
If you are an individual member at any price point ($18.01 club, Level Up, etc.), for right now your membership simply transfers to the Carolina Rise Club by Garnet Trust, which is a new and unique membership level for newcomers that join Garnet Trust, but includes all current members of Carolina Rise. The price point for the new level of membership starts at $100 per month, but all Rise members simply will pay the same amount they have been paying and reap the benefits.
Speaking of benefits, our combined resources will now allow your membership dollars to go further not only in terms of benefiting Gamecock student athletes, but also the perks. Stay tuned for some exciting news on that front in the coming days. One of our goals with Rise and now with Trust is to create max value that we can for our members while at the same time making sure we all realize that the money is primarily for Carolina players. What is coming will be next level in that department.
If you are a Rise100 or Rise500 Business Member, nothing changes except you will get a rebranded decal. You will continue to get ads and mentions on Inside the Gamecocks The Show, the Chief Sports App and all across our now combined social media channels as well as prominent features on GamecockBusinessGuide.com, which I am pleased to announce is coming in the next 60 days.
